The river will continue to drop Sunday, but runoff will continue to fill Lake Medina.

The lake has risen 9 feet since midnight.

Along the Guadalupe River, waters almost reached major flood stage of 29 feet in Comfort before cresting at 28.9 feet.

Runoff is expected to cause the river to rise 30 feet in Guadalupe River State Park and Spring Branch.

The Army Corps of Engineers has lowered the amount of water exiting at Canyon Lake. No word if the expected river rise will change that.

The Sabinal River at Sabinal is also forecast to reach moderate flood stage Sunday.
