2 injured in rollover crash

Woman in hospital; man treated at scene

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were injured in a rollover crash on the city's West Side, San Antonio police said early Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. near the intersection of South Zarzamora and Satillo Street.

A man and a woman were occupants in the vehicle. Police are unsure which person was driving.

Police said the driver of a compact car was speeding when the car hit a set of railroad tracks, causing the car to go airborne. The driver lost control of the car and it rolled over several times. The car cut a telephone pole in half and hit a metal railroad sign before coming to a stop, police said.

The man was treated for his injuries at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
