Woman who stabbed husband 17 times sentenced to prison

Anna Marie Jeitani gets 25-year sentence

SAN ANTONIO – A woman who admitted to stabbing her husband to death was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison.

The sentence handed down by district judge Steve Hilbig was part of a plea bargain for Anna Marie Jeitani, 38.

According to a police report, Jeitani stabbed her 29-year-old husband, Toni Jeitani, 17 times on the night of Dec. 5, 2013. The report said that three of the stab wounds were inflicted as emergency responders arrived at the couple’s northwest Bexar County home.

“I do not forgive you for murdering Toni, my son,” Alfred Jeitani said to the defendant, during what's called a victim impact statement. "I curse you for what you have done. I wish terrible things to happen to you in this life and that when you die, you burn in hell.”

Alfred Jeitani's wife, Jamal Jeitani, also addressed her former daughter-in-law.

“I will all the time, pray to God, that you will rot in your prison cell,” she said.

Anna Marie Jeitani must serve half of her 25-year sentence before she's eligible for parole.
