Police seek suspect in 2 fast food robberies

Man demanded cash at North Side Whataburger and Pizza Hut, police say

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Police are looking for the man responsible for robbing two fast food chains overnight on the city's North Side.

The incident began just after 10 p.m. at a local Whataburger restaurant found at the corner of Highway 281 North and Brook Hollow.

Police said the man walked into the restaurant wearing a hoodie and displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then took the undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot, police said.

A short time later police said, they believe that same man entered a Pizza Hut in the 16100 block of San Pedro Avenue and demanded money again -- before leaving the scene in some type of car.

SAPD said the man was seen on surveillance cameras leaving both fast food chains.

The suspect is described as being 5 foot 10 inches, wearing a blue shirt, dark hoodie and navy sweat pants with white tennis shoes.

The investigation into both robberies is ongoing.
