Man found dead in stock tank in Kyle identified

Victim identified as Omar Alejandro Hernandez-Castro, 33

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Hays County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released the name of a man found dead in a stock tank.

The victim was identified as Omar Alejandro Hernandez-Castro, 33. Hernandez was identified through dental records, sheriff's officials said.

Hernandez's body was found  Thursday night in the 1500 block of Cotton Gin Road. He was reported missing May 16.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hays County Sheriff's Office at 512-393-7896 and speak with the Criminal Investigations Division or contact Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477).
