Police said they were called to an apartment complex in the 600 block of Rio Grande Street Sunday morning for a suspicious death. It turned out the person who called in the tip was Chase, police said.

The next day, an autopsy revealed that the man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said Chase and the victim are not related, but that they knew each other.

"There's some kind of relationship between them," Sgt. Jesse Salame of San Antonio Police Department said. "There may be indication that she may have been a caretaker of some sort. He has a disability."
