SAN ANTONIO – A fatal wreck on Highway 281 near Hildebrand shut down the southbound lanes early Saturday morning after a driver lost control of their vehicle.
That driver was later identified at Krishna Patel, 22.
San Antonio police said the Patel was speeding when he slammed into the back of a silver Mustang and flipped over several times.
Patel was ejected during the rollover and died at the scene. As for the vehicle, it fell over the Olmos Basin bridge and burst into flames.
The driver of the Mustang was not injured in the wreck.
