Church regains stolen items thanks to anonymous donors

SAN ANTONIO – Thieves took away a small church's pricey equipment but they couldn't steal the congregation members faith.

Just two days after it lost the items to a burglar, Prince of Peace Baptist Church held Sunday services with items given by two generous but anonymous donors.

"I don't call him just my friend, I call him now my extended family," Pastor Iris Woodard-James, of Prince of Peace Baptist Church said, referring to the couple who selflessly reached out and donated items the church needed -- equipment stolen by a burglar.

Someone broke into the sanctuary of the small church, taking amplifiers and a mixer worth thousands.
"Members of the church say the outpouring of support from the community has been overwhelming and is truly a blessing." Woodard-James said.

"We were going to move on, but I'm just thankful for that. I really am, you just don't know, I could not express how thankful I am." Woodard-James said.

They donated two monitors, two speakers, two P-A systems and six different microphones.

"One thing I know about god-when he gives you things, he replaced that plus he added too so we got back everything that was taken plus some." church evangelist, Debra, said.

"He didn't want to be noticed but at least we'll give notice to the church because they were a blessing to us." Elder Ervin Livingston said.

So much so that Prince of peace has invited the giving pastor to preach to their small congregation on the first Sunday in December.
